The Character
Country Name: The Principality of Liechtenstein
Human Name: Elise Vogel
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Personality: Liechtenstein, above all, is a very humble and pleasant individual. She is soft spoken, polite, as well as level headed, always paying the proper mind to demonstrate proper etiquette no matter how informal the situation. Piled along in her protocol, she possesses outstanding amount of patience as well as a seemingly limitless supply of kindness. Warming up to someone isn’t one of the things she thinks twice about.
One might assume then with these traits that the small country would be something of an introvert, keeping her opinions tucked away for herself and herself only, but this couldn’t be any farther from the truth. She never hesitates to express a view or belief, regardless of the situation.
Though she has no issues whatsoever with speaking her mind, she is somewhat shy, as well as timid, even when in the presence those she is comfortable with. As a matter of fact, she can sometimes behave more so shy around people she is used to interacting with, simply because she values their opinions so much more. There is always a certain degree of pressure to please floating over her head, or at least in her eyes, but she will never mention it. This is mainly due to the fact that she especially wants to make her brother proud, and can sometimes work herself up about living up to nonexistent expectations.
Despite her outward bashfulness, she is something of a social butterfly. There aren’t many people or nations she won’t get along with due to her natural warming mannerisms, that is so long as Switzerland isn’t dragging her away from them. She tends not to question when he does so. As a matter of fact, she rarely questions much of anything that her brother does, because not only can she be rather impressionable, she doesn’t have a doubt in her mind that he’s doing it for her own well-being and protection. Brother knows best, after all, and she hasn’t the slightest idea where she would be without her brother. She probably wouldn’t be at all, and for that reason, he is the lone nation that has her complete trust, and she always makes a point to show him the utmost respect and admiration. Following along with his wishes are a big part of that.
While she’ll go along with the things she is told, it’s rare that she doesn’t have a clear idea of why she’s being instructed in the first place. The Liechtensteinerin might not always give off the impression of being so, but she is very clever, and it doesn’t take much for her to work out someone’s reasoning. Her cleverness does only reach to certain aspects, however. On the other hand, she can be immensely clueless depending on the topic of conversation or circumstance.
Weapon: Liechtenstein will protect herself with the rifle entrusted to her by her brother, but only if it is absolutely necessary. She has had close to no practice with firearms, and as a result, is not at all experienced in shooting. This is due to the fact that she isn’t much fond of them to begin with, and has made no point to ask for training. The girl will frequently miss her intended target. Even considering her lack of skill, without the gun, she would be very close to incapable of guarding herself at all. On top of serving for self-defense, it also obliges as an object of comfort. She feels so long as she has the firearm within her grasp, her brother is supporting her, even if he is not by her side.

Strengths:
► Mellow; Liechtenstein is level headed, and she can handle situations that need to be handled maturely as such with relative ease.
► Promptness; She can buckle down in a heartbeat. With a mere moment’s notice, she is fully capable of pulling herself straight down to the point, committing to an order and just as swiftly proceeding to follow it. She never needs to hear something twice.
►Determination; Liechtenstein has never been one to deflate at apparent fruitlessness. She can keep her hopes high and push on, even when a situation seems as if it’s at its worst.
► Optimism; This goes hand in hand with her determined attitude. When faced with something difficult, she can always find a bright side, or weave it into something that could turn out to be fortunate.
► Dexterity; She is greatly skilled with her hands. From sewing a nightie to patching up a potentially fatal wound, she can perform a task and well without falter.
Weaknesses:
► Physique; Liechtenstein is and always has been petite, and there’s simply no way of getting around it. This is made to be much more of a fault due to the fact that she doesn’t have any particular area of physical strength worth mentioning to begin with. She isn’t exactly fast on her feet, either.
► Red-faced; Despite her mature demeanor, she is very easily flustered, and just as easily made to become nervous. This can happen as a result of being regarded in any way.
► Clumsiness; She has a bit of a tendency to stumble over her own feet when nervous if even in the least bit. This tends to happen quite often, especially when she’s not with her brother.
► Peaceful; Liechtenstein is somewhat of a pacifist. Even when faced with a dire situation, she would have great difficulty bringing herself to engage in combat and hesitate for what might seem to someone else as ludicrous amounts of time. Even if someone told her to attack, or that she needed to attack, she would waver still. This is perhaps the only exception to her usually immediate reliability.
► Naivety; While she is clever, she can also be somewhat clueless, namely revolving around the darker aspects of life, as she’s generally been shielded from them since she was taken in. Alongside this, she can also be a little too quick to trust someone. Trust isn’t something she tends to give much thought.
Sample Post:
“Iz zis zee.. manzion?” The Liechtensteinerin wondered aloud, gaze traveling toward the roof of the structure. “Hm.
If she were to be completely honest, it wasn’t quite what she had been expecting to see when she heard the others raving on about a conceivably sinister and haunted mansion. Perhaps the construction here was simply different. That could very well be the case, and it likely was, but it still seemed different somehow—beyond its appearance.
Her emerald orbs came to widen just slightly upon seeing what looked to her like a large, dark figure maneuvering in clear sight right past a window she just so happened to be paying particular focus to.
“V-Vhat vaz—?” Liechtenstein gasped, caught off guard.
She shook her head with the slightest touch of haste. No, it couldn’t possibly be haunted, could it? That was just silly. Bringing a finger to her lips, she took a small step back, refocusing and looking it over a second time.
Now that she was offering a better perspective, it didn’t seem all that out of the ordinary after all. There was nothing in motion that could be seen through any of the windows. Maybe she was just imagining things. The head could do that to you sometimes, she supposed. She could recall numerous occasions wherein she discovered a certain Englishman babbling to himself in hallways to alleged fairy kind.
A light bubble of laughter came to life with the memory. England’s head could be very silly sometimes, it seemed. When she thought about it, it was a wondrous thing to imagine true, so she couldn’t exactly blame him, but most certainly not possible in reality. Though she wasn’t envisioning fairies, mysterious and ominous figures had to have been right up the same alley. Her head was most definitely being very silly today as well! She might have been paying a little too much attention to the wild assumptions the other nations had whirled around.
Oh well. She was here, so she might as well look around some. Perhaps she would find something interesting to show to her brother. With this in mind, she continued on, unhurriedly pattering closer to the questionably questionable mansion.
