The Character
Country Name: Rossiya Federiskaya
Human Name: Ivan Braginsky
Gender:Male
Appearance:
Personality: Ivan unlike how others may see him isn't insane, crazy, schizophrenic or anything that could possibly make him seem as if he has a mental illness. He is eccentric with a side dish of oddity but he isn't anything too much out of the ordinary. In fact he behaves like your stereotypical Russian villain. Melancholic, desperate to find the true purpose for his actions/existence/etc. And wistful for the past gone by. Emotions are a very tricky thing with him especially with his lack of empathy and understanding of others. He tries to remedy this by observation, watching others converse from afar and it is amusing to watch them but never has he fully tried to enter into a conversation. This is probably one of the reasons why others call him creepy. Creepy in its exact definition means 'annoying or unpleasant' where Ivan isn't one of the two. It might be considered annoying for someone to stare at you from afar but needless to say, it's only harmless observation.
'Socialization' is completely and honestly foreign to him. Living in the outskirts of a dreary, winter forsaken land isn't exactly a very good way to start making friends. He speaks honestly, frankly even about anything and everything which others might see as appalling for yes he's quite blunt with words and would rather not give flowery speeches and extravagant hand movements to explain himself. He merely needs a single action, a word or phrase to convey his emotions. This isn't quite as often as one might think. Ivan is horribly ashamed with his emotions and would rather lock them up on the inside rather than show it for the entire world to see. He doesn't see the need to change facial expressions often as his actions speak louder than expression. Maybe his movements will start to become sharp, quick instead of the usual languid and uncaring way he walks or maybe the small tightening of the fist and a twitch of the lips.
The smooth flawless facade on his face gives a show of indifference for the outside world when in fact he yearns for more. This might be the longing for physical contact or mere words, wishing for someone to not turn away from him because they want to understand—to know—what it's like being him. Ivan is a true Russian at heart, a realist rather than an optimist, believing that things happen and will always happen for the better. Which is why he can excuse his mistakes, believing them to be a link for a 'better Ivan'. The realist side of him isn't optimistic nor pessimistic it is just realistic. Ivan has never been known for being too extremely negative or too extremely positive, he accepts that the world will always be like this and that and there's not a single thing anyone can do about it and even if something did happen to change it, then that's because it was meant to happen.
The 'Husky Ruski' act that Ivan usually plays around with is the conclusive end of his fear of of shame. He doesn't want others to see the fragile side of him, the side that could enjoy the simplest joys in life. Therefore he created a front, a facade of strength and domination that convinces those that aren't close to him that he should never be crossed, obey all orders and you won't get hurt or just ignore him entirely and you really won't get hurt. This sort of mindset is the very reason why very few people know his true passion for things. When people meet his ideals however, that's a different sort of thing. Stranger or not if Ivan meets a person who can see things the way he does, think things the way he does, the passion bursts out in a single flourish of words.
In short he's a melancholic 20-year old hiding behind a facade of strength and arrogance, with a passion for the simple, wistfully yearning for companionship and the warmth of love and understanding. He is still kind of intimidating though.
Weapon: His personal pipe he keeps on him at all times which he named Kindness. His pipe also hides a cleverly concealed sword which Japan had given him.

His past
Strengths:
His brute strength due to his heavy build, even though everyone thinks it fat- Russia has fought throughout his whole past in wars and revolutions making him stronger than an average Nation.
Ability to take in massive amounts of pain- He was tortured and beat in his past making him almost immune to pain even though he will still be weakened and hurt, just not as much as a normal Nation.
Very Good hand to hand fighter- Because of his love for Boxing he is a fast and strong hand to hand fighter.
Good at calming his sisters or anyone around him for that matter- He always has a sweet innocent smile and can calm frightened Nations with his calm, reassuring voice.
Weaknesses:
Emotions – Emotions can sometimes bring a person down to their knees. Ivan doesn't like being controlled by petty emotions and sometimes even fears that it'll eventually be the one to destroy him.
Family – His family is something that's very very dear to him. He will allow himself to get hurt/punished/or even killed if it means that they will be safe.
No Help Please – As much as Ivan likes helping people—because it often leads to them owing him debts—Ivan abhors being helped even if he needs it. It isn't pride but some sort of mentality that help is for the weak and he most certainly isn't weak...! Or so he likes to say..
Pride- Russia is a very proud man, thinks he can overcome anything and everything, but it sometimes gets the best of him and he soon realizes he has meet his match.
Very intellectant- Russia is a very smart man, he thinks about things before he does them and because of his intellect his a very good chess player.
Sample Post:
Ivan walked into the castle amazed at how big and wonderous it was it reminded him of the castles in fairytales. When he walked into the Great Hall with the group of other Foreigners he was amazed at how big the Great Hall was. The ceiling looked like the night sky and he felt the stares of the other students on them. When the group stopped they were in front of a chair with a hat upon it. The headmaster greeted the new arrivals and the sorting began. Name after name was called and people were put into their appropriate houses; Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. His name was called up and he calmly made his way up to the chair, the hat was placed and when it spoke it shocked him.
"Hmmm...Very childish aren't you,"the hat said to the tall Russian.
Da, Ivan thought to himself, he wasn't afraid to admit he acted like a child, in actuality he enjoyed it.
"Interesting...Other than that little flaw you would be a good Gryffindor...Strong,Brave..But..A pureblood in Gryffindor now that would be something to put in the book,"The hat laughed.
It would be indeed but there is nothing wrong with a little change,da,he thought to the hat with a smile.
"No there wouldn't but..You would be a welcomed student in the house of Slytherin..Smart,Loyal, and a bit Sly,"he said,"
Ivan just nodded.
The hat laughed,"...SLYTHERIN,"he hat said loudly.
He heard some booing and some cheering as he walked over to the Slytherin table. He knew this was going to be a VERY interesting year
