Hungary
Country Name: Hungary
Human Name: Elizaveta Hedevary
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Personality:(400)
Hungary had been a nomadic nation when she was much younger. Because of the fact that she refused to settle down, she was picked on and tormented by several other nations, one of the most fearsome being Turkey and his empire. She had a difficult time defending herself for the longest time, and spent much of her time making herself stronger so that she could protect what was hers from the more powerful nations. For the longest time, she considered herself to be male since most countries were. Hungary never considered herself any different from the others, and is rather prideful. She was intent on proving herself as a nation, and disliked having help from other countries, though would accept it as a last resort. It is this reason that she dislikes Prussia, one of the nations she permitted to help her out in her times of need who enjoyed tormenting her in return and trying to make her feel inferior.
As she grew older, she finally began seeing the differences in her strength and size as compared to the other nations. No matter how much she tried to hide it, she began having a harder and harder time when fighting nations like Turkey. When finally unveiled as a woman by Prussia, she decided that it was much wiser to be meek and to settle down with Austria. Despite her decision, she still wants to join in on some of the old activities that she enjoyed, but her pride, once again, prevents her from going back on her decision.
Because of the torment in her background, Hungary had developed a vengeful nature towards those whom she has a grudge against, and will find a way to cause them pain if she feels the need (a frying pan, for instance). Her anger and grudges towards them, however, will never prevent her from trying to protect even her enemies. She's still a compassionate nation, and is willing to help out her rivals, though quite a bit of taunting might be in order in the end.
Despite the dark side of her, she is actually quite friendly towards most people. She loves children and has a motherly (or sisterly) character. She tries to do what's best for everybody and will defend those who are weaker than their enemies. Hungary is willing to put herself on the line to protect her close friends and loved ones, especially meek nations who can't protect themselves. Helpless countries strike her "mother" side and she will protect them like a mama bear would.
However, when she's alone, she tends to remember the past and the fun she had while pretending to be a boy, even if it had gotten her into a lot of danger. Sometimes she misses the fun and the excitement, but refuses to admit it. She fears that her inactivity will leave her weak and helpless, which is likely one of the reasons she decided to take on the house instead of staying safe at Austria's house. Partially out of protection for the other nations, but also to prove that she hasn't become worthless since she'd settled down.
Weapon: Hungary herself relies on two different weapons. She is proficient in both a bow as well as a sword, having used them since her early childhood fighting the Ottoman Empire. However, the only weapon she tends to have handy is her frying pan, which does a surprising amount of damage when she manages to hit her enemy right. Of course, if she were consciously going into battle, the sword would be her first weapon of choice.

Strengths:
- Speed
Given her small size and constant training, Hungary is quite quick. Her speed allows her to dodge attacks easier and deliver her own blow. - Strength (as compared to other women)
While it may not always compare well with the strength of male countries, she's rather strong for a woman. - Misleading Physique
Hungary, being a woman in man's clothing, may seem weak and fragile, allowing the opponent to underestimate her. While she'd usually hate the differentiation, she understands that her femininity can be use for her instead of against her at times. - Temper
This is something that could go in both the flaws and strengths categories. While she may have a temper, this allows her to have adrenaline rushes during a battle and boosting both her strength and speed. - Protectiveness
The fear of her friends and others getting hurt often leads to her own power boost. If she feels the need to protect, then she will do it until she dies.
Weaknesses:
- Temper
Once again, something that works as either a benefit or a hindrance. If her temper gets the best of her, it may not be as helpful as one would think, but instead cloud her head and prevent her from making the proper attacks during battle or thinking clearly both in and out. - Size
While Hungary isn't afraid to take a hit, she's still unable to take too hard of a blow before it does damage on her small body. - Prideful
Hungary doesn't like to admit when she's in trouble. This could be due to Prussia's verbal attacks as children. She finds that admitting defeat only makes others think that her being a woman is why she might have lost. - Time Lapse
The fact that so much time has gone by since she'd handled her weapons, she might have lost her touch a little. While it may only take some time to get used to again, she still has to survive long enough to get readjusted. - Rash
Considering her feel for the need to prove herself as a woman, Hungary can get quite hasty. Her hastiness can often get her into trouble unless somebody's around to keep her out of it.
Sample Post:
Her grip tightened on the handle of her weapon as Hungary pressed herself against the corner. A few strands of her dark brown hair fell in her face, but she didn't dare move them out of fear of drawing too much attention from the creature she had seen just seconds ago. She had heard a noise from the room behind it, and she had to know who, or what, was in there. What if it were poor Italy? Hell, even if it were Prussia she was intent on getting him out alive, despite how much she despised him.
Slowly, she peeked around the corner to size up the creatures distance from her. It was stronger than her. She knew that. Possibly even faster and smarter too, and here she was, all alone with nobody else around. If she didn't do anything, then it might either go after the other nation, or spot her first. Then it would all be over. Alright, Elizaveta, it's time to do this. Do NOT be scared of this... thing. What would Prussia do? You aren't going to let him outshine you, are you? She hated how that nation was able to defeat Turkey, but she couldn't. She hated how he was always able to get her out of trouble when they were younger. It just made her so... furious. She had to show him that the only thing that megránt was good for was to practice with the weapon she carried in her hands. The one she was going to use to defeat the creature in front of her.
One more deep breath and the country swung herself around the corner, charging at the monster that had harmed and murdered her friends. As soon as she was two feet from the creature, she swung the only weapon she had managed to come across as hard as she possibly could at the creature's head. She managed to hit something, and the impact made the pan in her hands ring and her arms shake. The room around her began to spin as she struggled to maintain her balance. Did she hit the monster, or had she missed and struck a wall? Was the impact enough to cause any damage? Enough to get her and the other nation to safety before the gray creature knew what had hit it? Her emerald eyes blinked once more time and she used her hand to steady herself against the wall behind her. Instinctively, she got set up for another hit as she stared at the monster, hoping to see it fall to the ground.
